Carrie is the founder and CEO of Jade Lending, a capital fund supporting women and/or minority entrepreneurs in established businesses seeking working capital to achieve growth potential. Jade Lending is a social impact lending platform whose mission is to support the growth of women/minority-owned businesses. We are not venture capitalists or angel investors, nor do we require any equity state in any business to which we lend. We provide loans on flexible terms along with a network for mentoring, resources, and referrals. Jade Lending is NOT just a loan, we are a community. 

Carrie is also the founder and CEO of Mako Documents, a division of a multimillion-dollar medical laboratory. Mako Documents stores, scans, shreds, and manages a broad range of health information including medical records, business records and radiology films. 
 
Mako’s team is passionate about making an impact in people’s lives both here locally in North Carolina and around the world. Mako’s team spends thousands of hours volunteering with local nonprofits. Mako has donated millions in free medical services to those that don’t have access. Mako currently supports over 472 local nonprofits and charities including military service dogs, homes for the blind, disabled, special needs children, horses for those that are paralyzed, and veteran’s cancer research. Mako employs military veterans for many of our positions and supports over 80 Christian missionaries around the world. 

Carrie’s passion is all about paying it forward. She was the founder of Athena of Triangle; the win is to empower women as strong leaders in either multinational corporations or their own business ventures through the ATHENA Leadership Model. 

Carrie in the early 1990s started a luxury transportation company with three credit cards. Carrie and her team built Blue Diamond Worldwide Transportation into the largest Woman Owned Transportation Company in the Carolinas. Carrie served on the board of the National Limousine Association. 
 
Carrie is a seasoned public speaker and community organizer. She facilitates the Raleigh NC Women Presidents Organization. A mastermind group of women business owners with over $1 million in revenues. She founded and facilitated the Triangle Ladies Power lunch from 2010 to 2015, a networking lunch that spotlights women superstars in business, politics, and nonprofits. 

Carrie served as Vice Chair with Women Business Collaborative. WBC is an alliance of business women’s organizations working together to achieve equal position, pay, and power for all women in business.
